Terms & Conditions

For the purposes of these terms and conditions Cruise of Marriages, Inc. will be referred to as COM.

Reservations and payments
: Unless otherwise indicated, a deposit of $500 per person is required at the time of reservation. Written confirmation/invoice is sent after the deposit has been received or immediately if the deposit is paid by a credit card. If payment is not received within seven (7) days of the reservation, the reservation is subject to cancellation. Full payment is due no later than 90 calendar days prior to USA departure date. Details of payment will be explained on the invoice. If payment is not received by the due date, the reservation will be subject to cancellation.

Revision fee: A $30 per revision handling fee, to cover processing costs, is charged for any changes made to a reservation after written confirmation/invoice has been sent.

Tour documents: A tour document packet is sent 21-30 days before departure. If you request that your documents be sent earlier, there is a $50 handling charge, to cover the cost of extra processing.

Cancellations and refunds: Cancellation Insurance is available and is strongly recommended. All cancellations must be received in writing and are effective at date of receipt. Cancellation charges are as follows: Land and Cruise: For cancellations 121 days or more before departure, $300 per person. For cancellations 90 days before departure, 25% of the land and cruise price. For cancellations 89-60 days before departure, 35% of the land and cruise price. For cancellations 59-30 days before departure, 50% of the land and cruise price. For cancellations received less than 30 days before departure, 100% of the land and cruise price. There is no refund for "no-shows" and for cancellations after the start of the tour/cruise. There is no refund for unused services or if portions of the cruise and/or land arrangements are missed.

Airfare: Once an airline ticket has been issued, there is a $50 per person administrative fee, plus the applicable airline cancellation revision penalty. Airline penalties vary from airline to airline and can be substantial; in some cases the airline tickets are non-refundable. Ask your COM representative about cancellation insurance.

Insurance: COM cannot be responsible or liable for loss, damage or theft of personal luggage and belongings, nor for personal injury, accident or illness. In most countries outside the USA, insurance coverage of personal injury, accident or illness is not available on the basis of US standards. Check with your insurance agent to be sure you are adequately protected for any eventualities.

Air transportation: Many COM tours are air inclusive and require air ticketing. It is important to comply with the airline requirements. Names of travelers must be exactly as they appear on their passport. Unless otherwise specified, air transportation is in Economy Class on scheduled airlines mentioned in the appropriate brochure, or other scheduled IATA carriers. Airfares included in the price are those in effect at the time of printing and are subject to change without notice. Since airfares and their conditions are subject to change, other charges may apply. After departure, any changes to the flight itinerary may entail additional charges. COM cannot accept any responsibility for any delays of airline services and is not responsible for notifying passengers when changes in flight schedules (flight times and flight numbers)
occur after the tour documents (see above) have been sent. We recommend that you contact the airline at least 48 hours before departure for final confirmation.

Air reservations: International and domestic air schedules are subject to change at any time. If you make your own flight arrangements, COM will not be responsible for any loss resulting from cancellations or changes in international gateways or travel dates. It is recommended that you do not purchase tickets with restrictions.

Other travel documents: A valid passport is required on international programs. Passports must be valid for six months after the return date of the trip. You will be notified if your destination requires a visa. Non-U.S. citizens are advised to contact the appropriate consular office for entry requirements pertaining to their trip. Obtaining and carrying these documents is the sole responsibility of the passenger. COM
cannot and will not be responsible for any delays, damages and/or losses, including missed portions of the tour that are related to improper travel documentation. COM will advise, at the time of reservation, the travel documents that are required, but cannot and will not accept any responsibility for the obtaining of these documents by the individual traveler.

Prices: Unless otherwise noted, prices shown in brochures are per person, based on two persons sharing a cabin or a hotel room. Prices are in effect at the time of printing and are subject to change without prior notice. A passenger who travels alone is required to pay a single supplement rate. COM reserves the right to change the price of a tour at its discretion. COM guarantees the tour price only after full payment is received. Currency surcharges and flight schedule changes that require additional nights and costs will result in an assessment to each passenger.

Pre and post tour extensions: If a passenger is confirmed to share a cabin on the cruise portion of the tour and their companion does not take the pre and/or post extension with them, the passenger taking the extension(s) will be confirmed in a single room at the hotel and the
appropriate single supplement will apply.

Airline baggage: Baggage is at owner's risk throughout
the tour. In Europe, the economy class baggage allowance
s two checked pieces for which the total sum of the dimensions
(length + height + width) does not exceed 106 inches.
No single piece may exceed the dimensional sum of 62 inches.
In Asia, only one checked piece is allowed. Other luggage
restrictions may apply.

Land and cruise baggage: Due to limited coach capacity,
only one bag or suitcase per person, not exceeding 29"
x 20" x 10" can be carried inside motor coaches. Your COM
flight bag is issued as a carry-on only and it
or any other carry-on must remain in your possession at
all times. Baggage is carried at owner's risk. COM
is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to your luggage.
Baggage insurance is recommended.

Health and deportment: Please bring any issues
regarding your health or mobility to the attention of
the COM
reservationist when making your booking.
A companion responsible for providing any required services
must accompany disabled passengers or any person requiring
special assistance while traveling. Due to space limitations,
wheelchairs and walkers cannot be carried onto motor coaches.
River cruise ships generally have no elevators; cabin
doors and restrooms are not wide enough to allow access
by standard wheelchairs. Included shore excursions typically
require a high degree of mobility, and handicapped facilities
may not be available internationally at the level usual
in the United States.

Tips: On cruise and land tours tips are not included
in the tour price and are customary, subject to your satisfaction
with the services received. The customary end-of-the-tour
gratuity to the tour or cruise manager is not included
in the price of the tour.

Itineraries: Deviations from the planned itineraries
are possible, although every effort will be made to keep
them as they are shown. The itinerary may be changed from
that described in a brochure. In such case, every effort
will be made to ensure that locations visited and the
excursions taken will be similar and there will be no
right of a refund for any such itinerary change. In addition,
we reserve the right to substitute itineraries or hotels
due to conditions beyond our control, and any such change
will not result in eligibility for refund.

Unused tour feature: Any unused tour feature, either
on air transportation or for land arrangements, is not
refundable or exchangeable.

Hotels: The hotels listed in the brochure will
be used on most departures. If a change becomes necessary
for any reason, equivalent hotel accommodations will be
provided, and there will be no refund for any such change.

Airport transfers: Arrival and departure transfers
will be provided only if the air portion is purchased
through COM
and both the arrival and departure flights
are with the group.

Not included in the published tour price: Cost
of passport and visas; excess baggage charges; airport,
port or other taxes; laundry; all items of a personal
nature; items not included on regular menus; expenses
for additional sightseeing not specified in the itinerary;
wine or liquor, unless indicated; beverages and meals
not included in the tour; health, accident, baggage, or
trip cancellation insurance.

Air taxes: U.S. departure tax, U.S. customs charge
and security charge - approximately $75 per person - are
not included in the tour price and will be added to the
tour invoice. Airport taxes in China and Asia are not
included and will be collected before each departure -
approximately $6 per each flight within China and $11
for flights out of China, $7 to $15 for other Asian countries.

Other Important Information

Clothing: Attire for daytime is seasonal casual;
slacks and shorts are generally acceptable in all public
areas. For evening, dress is usually more formal. In Europe
especially, general levels of attire are more formal than
those in vacation areas in the USA. In some Asian countries
there may be dress rules. You will be advised of any such
rules at time of booking.

Smoking policy: On cruise ships, smoking is allowed
in designated areas only. On motor coaches, smoking is
not permitted. Stops are available en route for photography
and breaks, providing opportunities for smokers.

Communications: Communications from river cruise ships may be available. Public phone and Internet service is available in many locations.
COM does not offer any communications services of its own. Mobile phones suitable for USA use will generally not operate in Europe or Asia.

Diets: While every effort has been made to tailor many meals and menus to American tastes, variations from what might be typical will occur. Please advise the reservationist of any specific dietary considerations and every effort will be made to accommodate them.

Electrical outlets: River cruise ships have 220 V outlets, as do Russia, China and most other areas of Europe and Asia. Converters and adapters are required for appliances and portable computers.

Gift shops and shopping: Europe river cruise ships usually have a gift shop onboard, as do cruise ships in China. There are ample opportunities for shopping during excursions and extensions.
COM
cannot accept any
responsibility for any item purchased while on the tour,
nor for any shipping or mailing arrangements.

Pets: Pets are not permitted on trips.
Assistance pets may or may not be able to be accommodated.
